Biography
Gabriela Pineda- Hassan earned her M.A. in Clinical Psychology with the Aliento Program at Pepperdine University. Gabriela is s a First- Generation transfer student and graduated with her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Dance. She is currently working with Open Door Center in Santa Ana and Casa De La Familia in Los Angeles as an AMFT. Gabriela is currently preparing to pursue a doctoral program while maintaining her clinical practice. In her work with Victims of Crime, Gabriela has grown interested in adapting the Radical Healing framework into field practice and hopes to continue examining the opportunity to move beyond surviving and coping. Gabriela has also initiated a Wellness Circle open to mental health professionals in order to promote el que la cultura cura. She is passionate about providing culturally-attuned services to those who have experienced the Stigma of Mental Health and are hoping to break intergenerational trauma cycles. Gabriela values working with the community and hopes to create space for collective healing to occur.
